IS THIS YOU?
It wasn’t the kind of lightning-bolt “aha” moment you read about.
I was 49 years old.
On the outside, my life looked beautiful — a loving husband, two wonderful children, a comfortable home. I had done everything “right.” I was grateful.
Nothing was falling apart.
Nothing was obviously wrong.
And yet, I remember standing in my kitchen one evening
feeling something I couldn’t quite name.
It wasn’t sadness.
It wasn’t anger.
It wasn’t even dissatisfaction.
It was quieter than that.
A subtle emptiness.
A gentle but persistent question rising from somewhere deeper than thought:
There must be more, what’s my purpose?
At first, I brushed it aside.
I told myself I was just tired. Busy.
Entering a new phase of my life.
But the feeling didn’t leave.
It began to show up in my body.
A tightness in my chest when I said “yes” but meant “I’m not sure.”
A heaviness in my shoulders, feeling the negative emotions of others.
A subtle bracing in my nervous system that had become so familiar, I barely noticed it — until it became more obvious.
I started to realize something important.
I didn’t know how to be present for myself!
Maybe you recognize this.
Your life might look stable.
You might be functioning well.
But inside, something feels slightly off.
Until one day, your current life situation becomes too much:
And you question….What can I do differently, Where’s the joy in my life?
Looking back, turning 49 was a catalyst for change.
It was an initiation.
My body was asking to live more honestly.
More consciously.
More fully expressed.
Nothing was wrong.
If you are feeling inner stirrings, it’s an invitation for growth and coherence
It’s an invitation to return to your natural rhythm, the one you were born with.
Where sound meets stillness —
and the body remembers its natural rhythm.
